Need to Know: Gown Shopping During a Global Pandemic
It’s been a minute, but we are SO excited to share that we will be reopening our doors on Wednesday, June 3!!
In an effort to keep you, your loved ones and our staff as safe as possible -we have implemented some new policies & procedures. Before your appointment, please take a read so that you know what to expect!
Maximum of two guests per bride, no exceptions. Don’t get us wrong, we love a big group [when everyone is supportive] but we also love the intimacy of just your very closest friends & family. We know that you may have had other plans so we’re happy to help you FaceTime or Zoom in others in your group!
We will be cleaning as much as we can! We have adjusted our schedule to give us some extra time between each appointment so that we can sanitize all surfaces, doorknobs & handrails. We will also be disinfecting any hangers or zippers that were touched. We will also be steaming every gown that was tried on during the appointment.
Masks & gloves aren’t mandatory, but we encourage you to wear one if you feel safer doing so! As a team, we have decided that we will not be wearing masks & gloves – but like anything with this pandemic, we will adjust our plans as information changes.
All guests will be asked to wash and/or sanitize their hands as soon as they come into the boutique. Guests will also be asked to wash & sanitize their hands when they leave the boutique
We love when you & your group are able to look, feel and touch the gowns! But given the current circumstances we will be asking that the bride is the only one who actually touches the gowns & accessories. Guests are still more than welcome [and encouraged] to look at the gowns with the bride, just no touching.
If you or anyone in your group is feeling unwell or have travelled outside the province or country, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment.
Since we do not have a dedicated waiting area, we will not be able to let you & your group into the building until your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive early, please wait in your car until your appointment.
To ensure that we have enough time to disinfect & sanitize our space between each appointment, we will not be able to accommodate groups that wish to stay beyond their scheduled appointment time. Your appointment will end promptly at the scheduled time.
We can’t wait to see you again so soon! Thank you for your understanding & respect of our new policies. Even though we’ve had to make some adjustments to the way we do things, we can promise that you’ll still have that same Pearl & Dot experience that we pride ourselves on! Let’s work together to make magic & keep everyone safe and healthy!
